Park Hyatt

Our main reason for making a stop in Goa was to meet up with Landon's brother! He coincidentally had a business convention there in Goa and was staying at the Park Hyatt, a 5-star hotel, which means we got to stay there too!  It was our first time staying at such a fancy hotel, we were welcomed with cold towels and mango drinks; it was the perfect break in between all the hostels and cold showers.
We felt completely out of place carrying in backpacks and wearing baggy, dusty clothes but we were just so excited for the small time we had with expensive living.  It was along a private beach that led into the Arabian Ocean, the warmest natural water I've ever been into.  Each morning was the most elaborate breakfast buffet, three rooms full.  After 3 weeks of naan and curry for breakfast, lunch, and dinner we were complete savages our first morning there, it also didn't help that I am an endless pit in the mornings and can eat for hours.  We were in paradise heaven.

Our first day at the Park Hyatt, we saw a man making pots on an old, Indian ceramic wheel.  Both Landon and Mckay share a talent in pottery and were instantly up for giving it a try on the old wheel.  They both did awesome and made a piece their first try! Landon has been dying to do more ceramics since we graduated last summer, but we have been moving around too much for him to find a studio, so this was the perfect little activity to do with his brother.
I'm excited for when we move back to California, we found a ceramics studio 3 minutes from his school that he can use to make more beautiful pieces for our home!
